Opinions Please
What Depo LED tail lights would look better on an arctic silver car? The clear and red or the smoked and red. I can't decide and I know you guys would know best. Thanks in advance.
|
I would go with smoked. The clear style, which I had on mine for a couple years, look too much like a peppermint.
I sort of liked them for a while, but quickly changed my mind. |
Get the clear ones for an arctic silver car and then get the chrome amber turn signal bulbs. Get rid of any amber looks to the tail light and the color is more of a gold then amber when they are on. Really gives the car a more luxurious look.

See? That was easy.

Hmm, I just purchased some chrome bulbs for my smoked side markers today. Well that and $191 worth of other stuff to get free shipping lol.

I can see particalwave having a peppermint feeling as his car is white. |
the smoked ones looked really good on my 00. I bet they would look good on the silver also. but as we have all seen here one must live with their own mistakes..... do what makes you happy. some people think black painted wheels look good also, me, not so much

Here's the smoked on my '99.

So far i'm leaning towards the clear and red. They just seem to match a silver car better to me. But keep those pics coming, I may change my mind 20 times before i pull the trigger.

I am partial to the clear. Obviously mine is Lapis Blue but this pic might help.http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1429715204.jpg

Yeah, those lights are nasty looking. You can get a clear 3rd brake light too.
|
I have the smoked. Gives it a more updated while still looking factory look.
|
I have the smoked on my Arctic Silver. They match better with the smoked look of the "clear" side markers and corner trim pieces on the headlights.

What are they? |
I have Lapis blue, and agree that the clear look better on that color.
On silver / black / gray cars, I do like the smoked look... |
