2)What speed should the Dremel tool be set to?
Slow is the key. I set the Dremel to its slowest speed

3)How thick is the lens over the turn signal area?
The bulk of the lens (main portion) is 3mm thick. The turn signal area is just over 6mm thick...

4)What lubricant is suggested?
use a thin lubricant like WD-40

5)What forum makes PW sad?
