132 in my Box S and averaged 170 around the Kansas Speedway in one of those 10 laps deals in a Nascar racecar.

I overdo on-ramps occasionally and have done 104 once when the car was still new to me, but now I have the top speed beep set to go off at 90 so I dont get into more trouble than I can handle.

Besides I'm more into the twisty kind of driving fun, although its always tempting to go faster since it just takes off so nicely and just keeps on accelerating with that securely planted handling.

125 mph per the speedo on I-95 in FL in my '01 S. Probably only 118-120 mph in reality. I plan to go higher at some point when the circumstances are "right". I almost always "accidentally" get into the 90's when getting on and up to speed on I-95.

120 on the speedo on I-44 between Lawton, OK and Wichita Falls, TX. So that was actually only 112-114. That was plenty for me.

In my impetuous youth, Between Tulsa and OKC heading south about 20 years ago, I estimated 140mph in my Chevy Caprice. Used to drive it between Lawton, OK and Chicago all the time so I threw a 2.56 rear axle in it along with a 22 gallon gas tank.

I was so stupid back in the day. Had the cruise set at about 120 rolling through Illinois for about an hour. So stupid.

200kph (125mph) on a long straight stretch of empty highway. Had the top down and the car started to feel light so I didn't go any faster. Frequently hit 160 kph when passing, especially if I am passing two or three semi's at a time.

120 in the Boxster S, not really trying. I usually reserve my high speed runs for two wheels, 155 on my old CBR and 150 on my Ducati so far. Prefer the twisties for both car and bike but there is nothing like the rush of a modern sportbike's acceleration.

I think the fastest I went in any car, Boxster incl, is 160km/hrs. Cars are way way way too heavy for me to be able to handle if anything goes completely wrong. Actually scares the hell out of me.

However I have a 210hp superbike (Honda HRC Fireblade or CBR1000RR) and track/clock this bad boy at over 312km/hrs on the back straight twice every single months

Below goes fast! Boxster = showoff at traffic lights only

Ha, 140 in a Caprice has to be infinitely more crazy than 120 in a Boxster, especially 20 years ago.

135 in 4 different vehicles, mental governor I suppose. None of these was my DD Box I have had for 11years. Owners manual states top speed 165 & I figure the added 75 HP increased it to 170.

I think this one had a little left in it especially if not going uphill next time. :chicken:

You have the right to remain silent, should you give up that right, anything you say will be used against you...
