That looks fantastic. Love the gunmetal color.

I changed the oil, changed an ignition coil, and topped off a very empty (!!!) power steering reservoir today. The power steering showed no symptoms so I never checked the level until a friend's mom's car needed to be checked- so I looked at mine first to make sure I'd know what I was doing before I went over there. All in all, productive day.

Minor 105k service and new Michelin A/S 3's installed on front (to match new ones on back last month).

Was out doing what the car was born to do (despite the crappy weather).

Funny thing is, on the way down the mountain I passed an identical silver Boxster heading up. Guess he had the same idea. We gave each other a hardy wave. :)

Installed used GAHH top with glass window. Still some tweaking to do to get it tighter but it's working fine with just a small air leak at speed. Despite the reduced view, it's so much nicer to look into the rear view mirror and not see the distortion from the "fold" in the plastic window.

I also found that putting a couple of clean rags over the rollbars allowed me to wedge the glass window over without scratching to get just about full access for service mode. A bungee is still helpful to keep it from sliding down though.

LOL... Foothill by real mountain standards, but we'll take what we can get. ;)

Engine was stuttering between 2-3k rpm with blinking engine light before the holidays. Finally took it in today and have to spend $1900 for diagnostics, replacing cracked ignition coils, spark plugs and serpentine belt and an oil change.

They wanted extra $1k for replacing rear rotors/pads/sensors and I said no thanks, I can do it myself.

I purchased my first Boxster yesterday in Phoenix and dove it back to Colorado over the past 24 hours. Great drive, 26 MPG at 80 MPH until I hit the Colorado border with 18 degrees and snow. Who says Boxsters can't handle winter conditions! A little stressful to say the least...

With the kids and grandkids gone from their holiday visit, my assistant and I did a little work on the 99.
We replaced the motor mount and fuel filter. I knew that the mount was pretty bad because it would have a noticeable 'clunk' starting out from a stop.

While I was underneath, looking up, I saw the belt. Oops, that's not good:

Maybe the original from 1999? I've only had it since August, should have checked that sooner.
