While I was changing the oil on my winter car (07 BMW 328xi coupe) I started up my 2004 Boxster S and let it run for a bit, was a balmy 37 degrees - almost considered taking it for a drive.

Hauled this box from Suncoast delivered by UPS down to the basement before anyone else in the family saw it. UPS said it weighs 69 lbs, if so, it was the heaviest 69 lbs I'e ever carried. Oh, it is the Boxster S ROW M030 suspension kit that I will have installed soon!

Nice present for the box! Let us know how you like it after installation.

Will do. Need to get a date for my Indy to put everything on. After reading threads about Ben006's intake plenum, 75 mm throttle body, 987 air filter, and discussing with my Indy, I've decided to just upgrade the suspension a bit and do some more HPDE events with the power I have and learn to drive better! I am going to add a deeper sump for a little more peace of mind, and the under drive pulley, on the theory that it will be good for my power steering pump!

Slippery slope, but oh so fun!

It was 20° F today, so naturally, I decided to do a full detail, wash, clay, wax, leather, carpet, etc. I had to setup two heaters to keep me (and the wax) from freezing, and I only tripped the circuit breaker once!

Used My Christmas Present!!

I used the Durametric I got from Santa to activate my OBC.
At first it showed it was active, but did not display correctly (at all) on the instrument cluster.
I remember reading somewhere on here that someone had the same issue that was resolved after the the battery was disconnected then re-connected.
I tried the same fix.
Worked like a charm.

I also checked for any uncleared codes.......Came up as clean as a whistle!!

Well after 13 years of accident free ownership I had a little fender bender last night, didn't come to a stop quite fast enough and tapped the rear bumper of the car in front of me last night. I was paying full attention at the time, and my antilock brakes came on hard but I just was not quick enough this time. His Ford Fusion didn't look too bad, and in the dark of night my Boxster looked like it just needed a new bumper cover. But after getting home I saw that my hood was slightly crooked, my headlight was pushed back and my fender got crimped by the headlight. Monday was my appointment to have my ROW M030 suspension installed, but now it will start with an estimate for the repair, the repair and then the suspension upgrade! I'm glad it wasn't any worse, and no one was hurt.

Picked up some more jack stands. Gonna put the car in the air tonight, and store the tires in my basement for the winter.

I need to bring one of the tires back to the shop, as it has a slow leak.

I understand from previous Forum comments suspending your Porche is not good for the suspension system

Yes, I intend to put the jacks under the suspension so the struts will not sit extended all winter.

We had a few inches of snow on Saturday. Yesterday I took my Boxster out to drop it off for the repair of my fender bender earlier this week. Our cul-de-sac still had packed snow on it but the rest of the streets were all clear. Going easy on summer tires to the end of our street was slippery!

Worked on replacing my variocam tensioner, pads and chains in bank one this weekend. It is so tight but doable. Unfortunately despite being what I thought was very careful I was betrayed by my torque wrench in a tight spot and broke a bolt. I did manage to get the tensioner and cams out, new tensioner and pads and chain reassembled and installed before the mishap. A minor setback but I will see this project thru.

Went out to my garage to find that thieves had broken in and had stolen my big floor jack and the indoor cover for my Boxster. They must have been in a hurry because they left my outdoor cover (the one I bought from Boxtaboy) and my Porsche car charger, which was hooked up to my car.

I was planning to sell the indoor cover but losing that jack hurts. I bought it specifically to use with the Boxster (it was super low and had a really long reach). (I really loved that jack)...

I'm in a gated community, and they apparently did this today sometime between 9am and 2pm. Looks like they used a crowbar to rip the key access out of the wall and then jumped the wires to open the garage. They also did this to 4 other units.

Oh well, at least they didn't steal my car!

Drove it to PCNA HQ tonight, did demo laps, and then had an awesome buffet dinner with other PeachState PCA members at PCNA's 356 restaurant.

So, I guess, despite the theft, today was a win.

Wow..sorry to hear man. Glad you didn't lose the outdoor cover too, or your car.
