Drove 2200 miles
950 straight from South NJ to Daytona Beach Fla - 15 hours - Top down most of the way
Forgot sun block

Came back by way of Blue Ridge Parkway 450 miles
Then Skyline Drive

Its called the Smokey Mountains or a reason
Driving in the Smoke(Fog) is it's own challenge
I needed to use my GPS to know where the hair pin turns were
I probably shouldn't have been snapping pics while driving when you can't see the road either
At least Skyline drive was dry and I could put the top down - even thought it was in the high 40's

I fished out my emergency frunk release cable (it was duct taped to the sheet metal- would have been almost impossible to retrieve in an emergency) and routed it to my tow hook access door. I will sleep better now...

Not to concerned about the trunk. It's getting to the battery that seems most important.

It sounds like no one was injured. Hopefully the damage is not bad. Good Luck.

I am very sorry to see that this has happened so early in your ownership of this car.

Scraped front right fender, WOW!

Wife hit the side of the garage and no I did not take a picture, and I will not post;-(

Any way she scraped the right front fender and right bumper and side marker.
It looked minor until we get it to a high end body shop I have used many times in the past with very good results. This young Geico kid comes out and says it's $1400 for it's estimate, I laughed out loud and indicated that he may need to look up some of the Porsche parts in his little computer. Take it to the shop and we are at 5k and counting!

So here is the reason I am sharing this embarrassing turn of events. It seems the right side ac condenser was damaged and is being replaced. What do I need to know about recharging the AC? Also they pulled the battery what could happen? Radio, Codes?
Any direction or gotchas regarding the recharge of the AC?
Thanks.

PS. At least they are cleaning the rads and boy for a 07 pcar with 33k miles that stays garaged it sure was dirty!
Thanks!

Drains

I removed all the plastic panels including the wipers and cowl ....cleaned out all the drains and flushed with water. Lubricated the wiper pivots.

Headlight refresh.

New pads all around, fluid flush and refreshed the paint on the calipers.

And finally HID install.

Nice Job

Tell me a little about the Calipers and how you did that, also did you replace the decals or paint the Porsche on them ?

Also what is the rod sticking out from the wheel...a guide rod ??

That comes with your tool kit to help put the wheels back on the car. Little more difficult to do when not using.

I used VHT Red Caliper paint and some clear VHT. You can get the decals from eBay. Put them on before the clear Here are some links:

Just prepped & painted them with high temp enamel. They are decals I painted over with clear enamel.

Replaced all the OEM yellow interior bulbs with white LEDs. Changed the wheel caps back to silver with black crest.

Savored one of the last top-down days in the northeast....

Put the top down on one of the last nice fall days in New England.

Might have a few more hopefully. Looks like a little warm up in store. Keep it going as long as possible. Nice car. I'm in Shrewsbury and have a new to me 03s as of June. Black as well. Love it. Enjoy!

Hope so! My car is at the indie today to try and sort out the lack of heat problem I'm having (no heat and foam blowing from the vents - needs repair air mixer) in this former FL car.

BTW, my Box is Midnight Blue Metallic. Its one of those colors that changes depending on the light, shadows, camera, etc. It does look black at times. Also, purple.

NOTHING! Battery is DEAD! I can't get ahead of this beast. Charging the battery and plan on changing out the AOS over the weekend. Perhaps the demons will be leave...

What Indy do you use. Just got back from mine. All sport in Stowe. They are very good and been around for over 50 years. There is another good one in Framingham. Eurotech I think.
