Sounds like this could be the problem. Glad it's under warranty if this is the repair fee!

However, to be told not to raise and lower the hood a lot seems crazy. This is supposed to be reliable machinery! I like to put the hood down as often as I can, but living in England means I quite often have to put it up again....quickly!

Thanks for the advice, just been told the car cannot be booked in for over a week due to a lack of loan cars.
