I put my car up on jack stands all the time. It's not quite as fast as the jack bars this guy makes, but then again, I don't put my car up on four jacks all that often and when I do, it only takes five minutes. Here's what I do.

1. Use a rear jack point to raise the car quite high and put a jack stand on the front jack point. Do the same thing on the other side. Now the front is up.

2. Locate the central jacking point under the engine and transmission area that brings the back up so jack stands can be placed in the back very easily.

Voila. The car's up on jack stands all the way around.

Note: A small piece of wood (a 3x3 piece of 1/2 inch plywood) works great on a race jack to raise the car at any of the five jack points. Or, if you live in the north where it snows all the time, buy a hockey puck (can't find one for the life of me here in Houston, Texas!)

You may want to try doing this on your car when you get it before you spend money on specialized jacking bars you probably won't use every weekend, which would make them worth owning.

Very cool concept though! That Ken's one smart feller.
