TVR coming to US?

Today I stumbled upon a tvrusa website. There are a few teaser images and none of the links work yet. Anyone know the status of TVR selling cars in the US again?? I've heard rumors for a while but nothing certain. Hope they get a few cars across the border before Washington imposes crazy gas milage requirements.

I've heard nothing and while I think TVRs are neat, do we really want to buy cars that are even crappier and less reliable than our boxsters? lol

My experience with a TVR was a 2500 M. Great car, very reliable and handled like it was on rails. I for one would love to see TVR import a few models.

Didn't they go out of business a year or so ago?

TVR went through some rough times in 2006 but today is still alive and kicking in some form. I like their crazy little sports cars and hope they make it out alive.

The last press release was on 9 August 2007. Borrowing heavily from Wikipedia to fill in the blanks: Nikolay Smolensky regained control of TVR in February 2007 and promptly announced a sale to Adam Burdette and Jean Michel Santacreu, who planned to export cars to the US. As of October 07 Smolensky was still in control of the company and hoped to restart production of 2000 cars in 08.
