Does anyone know the estimated MPG for the 00-02' 3.2L engine? How much did it differ when from 02'-04'?

Mine's an '02 S. Details a few posts down (roughly 320 miles per tank, which is 23+mpg) in mixed driving with plenty of wide open throttle. Also, DJ1 also posted results of 22-24mpg for an '01S in this thread as well.

How many gallons of fuel does a 986 hold? A 987 holds just over 16 gallons.

Well my last tank, I got 361 miles till my gas light came on. Then I filled up my car when the gas light came on and my reciept said 13.9 gallons. So I'm estimating 26MPG with 1/2 city 1/2 fwy. And I don't drive slow. Hehe...

Here is a link to a great EPA website that has a database on mileage for lots of cars:

EPA Mileage Website

according to the site, a Boxster S gives these numbers:

2000 16/23

2001 16/23

2002 16/23

2004 16/24

2006 17/25

2007 18/26

I figured it out and I am seeing something like 14MPG overall. Dealer says it is my right foot and a S won't get any more than that in city driving, but I tell you that I don't drove drive it hard compared at all. Not much difference than my Tahoe for the most part, don't roadrace from light to light, or anything even remotely aggressive. I feel that the car feels slightly sluggish, even more so since my "Revo" technik free trial, but the mileage wasn't any better before than time anyhoo. Complete 60K no-expense spared tuneup at Porsche dealership was done less than 10k ago with new replacement Porsche engine.

Think it could have been broken in badly or perhaps the CEL is just not working?
It just "feels" slightly off....no backfire, rough idle or anything of note.....just feels like something is not tuned 100% IMHO.

Any ideas or things to check?
Thanks.
