Anyone know of the cheapest place to get an O.E.M. clutch. Or anyone know of a better racing one, maybe a high performance clutch that I can upgrade to?

Send a message via AIM to blinkwatt
Hopefully this will save you some money;

http://buyclutch.com/ (give them a call or email them,their site isn't working correctly)

You may want to check and see what parts are required for the clutch replacement to ensure that those 3 parts are all that is needed to replace the clutch.

Def your clutch. I'd avoid the dealer and have a good indy shop do the work. While you're there, have a look at/ replace the RMS.

If you want to spend time at the drag strip, get a drag car!

+10 on the clutch.

The clutch in my old Toyota Tacoma wore out, and it was driveable, but in just about any gear, if I punched it, the engine would rev higher, but acceleration was not there.

Had the clutch changed, and the clutch lining was COMPLETELY gone.

If this happens, I'd surmise it could damage the flywheel surface, but it didn't cause any problems in my Toyota.

If I were you, I'd look into replacing the clutch soon. I wouldn't worry too much about the flywheel, they can check it when the transmission is off. The clutch is a consumable part - they'll wear out sooner or later.

Oh, and remember that smell. Nothing smells like a clutch burning!

I just replaced my clutch, Dealer in Fremont Ca. quoted $2000. including RMS replacement. I found independent shop in Oakland Ca. who did the job for $1400. So shop around.
