I had the same problem, and nothing I tried fixed it. Well, replacing the stock radio fixed it; something in the radio had failed and it couldn't receive radio signals.

The only problem, though, is that when I lock the car using the remote, the horn honks once, indicating that something isn't right (like the glove box is ajar, trunk not latched, etc.). I did notice that the instruction guide talked about a blue/brown wire that had to be isolated. I see a wire like this in the bundle, but assumed that it would have been handled by the harness. Has any one else experienced this issue?
The wire is connected to the factory radio chassis left side look into the hole you should see it pull it from the chassis and wrap in electrical tape.

Thank you, Cunningr! Using a more powerful flashlight, I was able to find it. Here are two pictures. First, what it looks like plugged in:

And second, what it looks like when it's disconnected:

The security system is happy now.

Glad I could help! Make sure you wrapped it if it grounds out by accident It will cause some issues.

Was just wondering if anyone installed one of these decks in 2003S with the MOST system. Bergvill F/X seems to have an adapter for the Most system.

Excellent question; I'm interested in this as well.

Last we discussed on this, folks were thinking about using this adapter:

Dulmer, how is the unit's lighting at night in comparison to the OE Becker? Any photos?

The backlighting is a bit different from everything else, but it's pretty good. I'll try to take a few pics.

So as you can see, the backlighting is quite different from the display for the air conditioning, but the actual lighting on the buttons is quite close to the lighting of the buttons on the air-conditioning system itself. I think it looks good, and I love having my music on a USB stick and the ability to make or take phone calls.

It really does look like it's meant for the car. There is a big difference in the display background, but overall the system just looks right in the car. I get lots of compliments on it.

Thanks. That looks pretty good, but I wonder how difficult it would be to do a negative display mod to the LCD.

Nice, i think this is on my short list for my new boxster once i pick it up assuming it works with the Bose system. Where did you all mount the microphone for calls?

I didn't bother with the external mic. The one built into the stereo works perfectly.

This.

I have also found this to be accurate.

Although, I can only talk when the car is at idle, exhaust is too loud. lol

I am about to order this setup for the 04 boxster s special edition. Is there a usb that you can hook in an ipod lightning cable that both supplies the music and charges it at the same time or do you have to charge it from an additional source? Great looking unit.

Looks pretty sweet. My 01 has the climate control in the console, so I had space for a double din Pioneer in the dash. Always been happy with Pioneer, so it was a natural for me.

I'm older and don't like the feeling of being distracted from my driving. It's hard enough for me without some damned phone nagging me with spam calls for aluminum siding. So I didn't get the bluetooth on purpose. Love driving the Boxster without extra attention required. I remember when car radios had two knobs and you couldn't make a call in a car. So nothing lost for me.

If I hadn't just replaced my obsolete (not very good) broken OEM, I might spring for the one you chose. Really does look like it belongs.

Thanks for sharing.

Just to clarify, if you have a CD220 currently, with the amplifier in the frunk, this head unit, with the associated Bergvillfx harness, is 100% plug-and-play?

I went to the site I think you have to order the appropriate interface cables with the radio then it should be plug and play bas3d off my reading.
