Thanks!

Seeing those pictures makes me want to reconsider. Wouldn't shorter studs work? I mean, you just need a little more thread than the depth of the nut.

Another option to consider is to use the same 17mm spacer up front as you have in the rear. I originally installed 7mm front/ 15mm rear spacers on mine (although I'm using bolts, rather than lug nuts), but I thought the front tires were still too "recessed." I changed the fronts to 15mm too, and I like the look much better. No problems with clearance, either.

You could run different length studs front and rear to keep them from sticking out of the front wheels.
