Thanks for the warning. This sort of thing is truly one of the best things about a forum like this. Repair manuals are never going to tell you how they f'ed up the car taking it apart the first time, even though it's probably the most valuable thing they could include.

I've found this sort of advice (from other threads on this forum) really handy when taking the door apart. It's saved me a lot of time and money hearing about what parts are likely to break when following instructions.
