Great! We can get some confirmation

If it's the sensor I think you're talking about, there is a small bolt you have to remove then it just pulls straight out. No twisting or levers.

If you have a vacuum fill device for your coolant (which you should, I have a video on how to use and link from Amazon), that is easy. As far as the comparison between that and the trans oil, I don't know...
