So, only one of these is appearing on the Pelican Parts website now and the link to the instruction PDF (can find several places in this thread) are no longer working.

Is purchasing a set of these still an option and does anyone have a working link to the instructions?

Getting the itch to try this again...

We are all sold out unfortunately. Just sold the last VIVO series a few weeks ago. Hoping to fill stock again. As far as the PDF goes, it's HERE.

Headlights project questions

Hi Everyone, im a newbie here but had a few questions on the headlight conversion project. I downloaded the HOW TO instructions and was reading through, but wanted to know is there parts /brand specific that would best work for my Porsche Boxster 1999 or would any brand sold on ebay for the Bezels, Ballasts and bulbs work fine.

Prices range and there different brands and one clueless would help on some direction on this.

I really like some of the finish pictures that i have seen on this topic. on Bezels in Black and silver with the changing lights on Bezels.

Headlights

Get yourself some HID projectors from Pelican Parts when they are available again. I used the VIVO series and the end result is very nice. I painted the interior of the headlights black and also added LED DRL. Say goodbye to the halogens sooner than later.

F18febe, does the Pelican package include the clear corner lenses

and how did go on doing the LED DR1 was this through like an LED light strip

The project is a headlight retrofit, so I used the housings of my original headlights. What you get from Pelican Parts are new HID GT3 projectors. You need to remove your headlights from your car, if you want to use your current headlights which you may not want to because they still have the amber lenses, and open them up to remove the halogen bulbs. Once the halogen bulbs are out, and you removed the burnt lenses, you insert the projectors and paint the interior parts if you want to, and reassemble. It is a lengthy project, but once complete it makes a big difference and updates the look of the front end.

The Daytime Running Lights that I installed are not custom to the Boxster. They install in the grill on your bumper. Installation was a snap if you are able to splice a couple of wires. Instructions were very clear.
