Turn the headlights on (to parking light position), then test at the car side connector between common ground and parking light +, just to be 100% sure you have good power between the two (unless you already did that).

Yes, that was the first thing I did. I have power there. I was able to use that to jump the connection and make sure I had power at the bulb. I will remove the socket and try to clean up the ground. Thanks again.

You are so good with photos!

Maybe one of that hot wire to which I connect the cubby mod? I'll find the ground.

You have to remove the plastic panel around the fuse center (2 or 4 screws and it comes right off)...I'll see if I have an old picture this evening so I don't have to go out into the blazing hot garage.

PW, hope you can help! I have this exact problem, but I have connectivity on the headlight side, and power on the car side (by testing the connectors). What else could it be?
