Great review - I may just have to check them out. Impressive lifespan.

If you go to 8.5" rims in the front you may want to run a 235/40 instead of the 225/45 or just go square with 255/40 all around.

Hopefully it isn't because I am so slow My first set of Nitto NT-01 from way back lasted forever! Tons of days, and I am still using them as my backup set. It is because I was so slow and wasn't sliding the car at all, that they just lasted forerver.

With my comparison of longevity above, the two tires (2nd set of NT-01 compared with first set of Maxxis RC-1) were run near together, so at least my results are relative to each other

If I can't get a little extra grip in front sorted out through other means, I may try 235/40/17 in the front. Should give me a tiny bit of extra rake as well since that size has a slightly smaller diameter.

A 235 front (vs 225) makes all of the difference! And the 235 will fit just fine on a 7" wheel. Highly recommended for a staggered setup.
