Front badge popped off
Looking for advise on what to use to stick back the pins on the front badge.
I tried epoxy but that was a no go.

I think they are soldered on at the factory but I don't know what kind, this sounds crazy but a plumber might know as I think.they do some soldering.
Good job on not losing the badge

I'm wondering if they are soldered before plating, hopefully someone else may have a suggestion.

Unless you use some super human strength glue it's toast. Solder or braze would melt the face and discolor it I promise you. These things get plated after that process.
Shoe goo is some of the best setting and sticking stuff I've used but it's not for such a small surface area. That likely won't glue.

So basically I have two options, buy a new one or epoxy it to the hood.

Those posts will never solidly reattach without proper brazing, and as said, that would destroy the finish and enamel. I would just forego the posts and use a moderate adhesive to stick it to the hood. Permatex Black Silicone Adhesive Sealant would be perfect (great bond without being permanent or damaging the paint).

That's awesome, thank you, I'll stick the pins on with epoxy and stick the badge on with permatex !

Just buy the one I have listed somewhere in the classified section in my listing for center caps.

Epoxy; you need to grind to the bare metal 1st bud. Bond must be made with a metal-to-metal category epoxy, make sure of that. Degreasing the surfaces around is paramount also (use acetone). Re-assemble at room temperature (read label) and there is technically zero reason it wouldn't work as good (even better) than a industrial weld.
Give a call to your regional 3M Corp rep if you don't believe me
Careful with the grinding (dremel-a-lizing whatever you'll end up using). Try to keep the tolerance of the posts near intact, if you can (gods are good at these sort of things)
Precision/hard job but can be done

Pm replied, I'm currently about 1,200 miles from home and will ship it when I get back.
Usually better to replace with the right part than make a mess trying to rig it.

I'm with particlewave on this one - if it were me I'd use Permatex Black Silicone Adhesive Sealant - the stuff works great, handles heat and vibration. I'm currently using it to hold my passenger headlight corner piece in...
But if you can get an inexpensive used replacement, that might be a good move too...

Double sided 3m emblem tape or adhesive would be a good solution as well. I've used it and it sticks with amazing tenacity.

I think the metal on metal epoxy recommended by Nine8Six would work. For those of us running his GT Collection center caps, that is what's keeping the center crest emblems on.

Have you tried a decent super glue as that should hold it?
