I doubt 986 Boxsters will go up much in value for a long long time. Do you want to live with the so-so radio on the chance you will sell it in 25 years for a profit? I bought my Boxster to enjoy myself. The 1st thing I did, after catching up on the maintenance, was replace the crappy stereo. Popped in a Pioneer with Apple CarPlay and navigation and replaced the front speakers and added rears. It was a huge improvement. The nice thing about the Pioneer is it supports commodity backup cameras so I added that too.
