I replaced my suspension myself and did not disconnect the parking brake cables.

Along with the struts I also did all 4 wheel bearing replacements. If I wasn't doing those, it would have been easier. I still didn't have to disconnect the parking brake cable

It may be possible with a spring compressor (I didn't use one) that you might be able to get the springs compressed and be able to get the strut out without having to disconnect the LCA and toe arms/tie rods (I disconnected all that stuff). If it is, that would save you a lot of time and hassle. Getting the LCA ball joints removed was very tough (I also replaced my rear LCA so maybe it wasn't required to remove that joint...)
