Any info on why the IMS was done (prior issues?) and with what product? An IMS can be just a seal or a $1000 part, specificity.

I'm updating my May 2016 post (below).
So in the past two years I've added another 11,000 miles for a total of 32,000. In addition to two rear tires and two oil changes, I will have the cv boots replaced next week. The interior bits (silverish parts - e brake handle, arm rests, etc. are becoming marked up (they were flawless when I bought the car), and the top is starting to show wear. Trying to keep it as perfect as possible for a seven month daily driver... wheels and leather are still pristine and it's still a thrill to drive it, especially with the top down when the weather allows. I'm going to have the silverish interior bits painted later this year.
Purchase price (in US$) $17,500
Purchase date 6/15/2014
Mileage - 10,400
State/Country where purchase - Illinois
Model year - 2000
S model
Color - Arctic Silver / Black
Manual
Any aftermarket accessories that came with the car (including but not limited to wheels, suspension, IMS upgrade, ect.) None
Your assessment of the vehicle history in terms of paperwork/receipts (1-10, 10 being highest) 8
Your assessment of the interior quality (1-10, 10 being highest) 10
Your assessment of the exterior quality (1-10, 10 being highest) 10
Your assessment of the mechanical condition of the vehicle (1-10, 10 being highest) 10
The car was perfectly detailed, pristine condition, new set of Pilots, almost all records, maintained by the book, not a scratch on it. I've put 11,000 miles on it (stored in winter) and, aside from two oil changes, have only had to replace the cap on the coolant container. The only thing that would make it better would be if we'd only get some top-down weather.

Hi Bald Eagle. I do not miss the weather back in Valpo. I lived there for 17 years but worked in Chicago. My daughter still lives there. Moved to Colorado in 2011. Weather here is so much better. I drive the Boxster all year here.

Hi mikefocke. I'm assuming you asking me about the IMS.
I called LN Engineering when I found the sticker with the kit number on the driver side door sill and they verified the bearing kit was sold (total dual bearing/seal kit) to an Indy shop in Denver. From what I have been able to determine is was preventive, no issues, and was done at the time of a clutch assembly replacement. It was done about year before I bought the car. I have put 6,000 miles on the car and no issues.

Just to continue the thread. 01 Base Box with 245k miles was run over in a parking garage and considered a total loss. Got a check for $7,700. Car was in good condition...my daily driver.
