The valve can be left up for a few days and as the coolant cools down, air will burp up to the tank slowly but surely. Parking with the tail high will also help as the 2 or 3 radiator up front are the real issue with trapped air.

Make sure to check under the rear carpet for coolant, just to make sure you don't have a cracked tank...
