Agree with particlewave, I purchased the non-smoker replacement from them and it fit, matched and looks perfect.

Can you explain how you did that? My tray just stays open. Obviously something broken but can't find a schematic/drawing to show me what to do. Thanks.

Considering how many ashtrays have been removed to mount double DIN radios or two cubby hole inserts, there should be hundred available.

Beware of flying ash. Back in the '70s I smoked a pipe and drove a 914 with its targa top. Of course an ash flew into my eye at speed on a winding road at night ....

Post is almost 3 years old...and I'm pretty sure that there is no ashtray in the dash.
