Found a Canadian source for ATE Super Blue

Woo-hoo - finally found a source for this stuff in Canada:

Precision Tuning Motorsports

Ordered on the 7th, here on the 13th. $30 a litre plus shipping though, ouch.

I see it has the "offroad only" warning on the can.

Several outlets continue to sell it, but it is plainly marked "non DOT" and "for off road or racing applications only", as well as selling for ridiculous markups due to scarcity. Simply ain't worth the price, use the regular stuff.

I can't disagree with what you are saying, (except the cans I received are marked DOT4). The way I look at it is that the different color does make doing the flush much easier for me, and it is only $30 every 3 years so, despite being priced rather high, it is still worth it to me to have it.

Yeah, I'm with Mark on this one - for my performance cars that I track, well worth the $$. And, since you are rotating in the amber every other change, it's even longer between usage of the Blue. I've got 3 litres on my shelf, heck - that might just be a lifetime supply for me :-)

ATE Type 200 is the same specs as the Blue and it is DOT approved. Many people alternate between the 2 since it makes it easy to tell when you have all the old fluid out during a bleed.

Really? Wow, I didn't know that. Did anyone else know that? And here I was just buying it for the pretty color.

Pretty common trick for people who track their cars and change the brake fluid often (like after every event). However the blue is definitely getting harder to find.

Kind of like I use green motor oil in my motorcycle because I can see it in the sight glass.
