I wonder if there are some different scoops like from the C4 or the anniversary edition 996 that could be used to channel the air to the radiators efficiently.

dghii 08-18-2017 04:38 PM

I like the look but would not add it to my car as I'm not a huge fan of making a car look like something it's not. No disrespect intended to anyone who goes that route...personal taste.

Porsche Boxter S 3.2L used engine - $4000 61,000 miles Kennett Square, PA

I flagged that one earlier this evening...showed up on local CL in NW FL. We've had lots of bogus adds the last week or so.

husker boxster 09-28-2017 05:18 AM

An ad similar that - same pic and title showed up on Des Moines CL. However, it was using an abbreviated version of my 911 ad copy. Couldn't believe it. Immediately flagged it.

Are they trolling for email addrs and phone #s?

Porsche Dyno wheels. ;)

I've read that they were only produced one year and only in 17", but that may or may not be true. I would love to get my hands on a set.

dghii 11-06-2017 06:34 PM

First time I've seen those wheels but not a fan. Look like wheel covers you can get at Pep Boys.

Apparently those wheels are the schizzle for PCA Spec Boxster racing, as they are the lightest OEM 17 inch wheels. I don't care for the look of them for a street car either, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and someone who buys that car should at least keep them to preserve authenticity even if the new owner drives it with something else.

boxfix 11-07-2017 05:30 PM

Even with "schizzle" wheels not worth that much.

marck 11-10-2017 06:30 AM

I know it's not a Boxster and really at this point it's not really a Porsche but it's quite entertaining.

PW - With the different sales brochures and Tequipment literature I have, it appears they were optional wheels from '98-'00, and yes, only in 17".

I have 4 3/4 sets of Dyno wheels. :D I'm still looking for a single front wheel to complete the 5th set.

Not a Ferrari! But it has real aluminum Ferrari bodywork, paint and wheels. A lot of effort to put into a Hyundai Tiburon, that's for sure.

He should have made it a 928 Replica. Tiburon = Shark.

I put 100K miles and went through 3 transmissions on my 2004 Tiburon Special Edition. Yellow. 2.7 liter V-6 6-speed, and I felt that 175+ HP every time. Took it to 134MPH on the 60 fwy one evening. That was a fun car I miss.

Traded it for a silver 2008 convertible Mustang. Then traded that for a 2012 convertible Mustang. Then traded that for a 2012 Edge Sport.

What do you get when you cross a Tiburon with a Mustang? A silver convertible Boxster. Yes, I fancied all aligned on that deal.
