Same ring time as a 2011 911 GT3. The Cayman GT4 is not in the same category as a Carrera S or even the GTS. It is in the same category as a 4 year old GT3...

I almost bought a Cayman S. I think if this car was out it wouldn't be an "almost".

But faster than the flagship 991 (8:02 N-ring). And we do have to keep in mind that the 991S and 991 GTS are not in the same price zip code as the Cayman GT4.

7:40 in a manual for the GT4 is probably a 7:38.9 PDK Walter Rohrl behind the wheel lap time. Which is Lexus LFA, Ferrari 458 and Scuderia territory with more room for improvement. That's a seriously fast sports car.
