Around here (got it that time) I've seen many boxsters with under 50k going for upwards of 14 much less a car with under 10k miles with all the break in work for a low mileage 14 year old car already done. Most S cars cost a grand or two beneath this one. With 40k models pulling 18 or more. With some negotiation, this car is a great grab for anyone looking for a really clean low mileage boxster. There can only be a few left in the world with mileage like this.

Wow, that's a beautiful example! I don't think the price is too out there considering the details, I mean what else can you get for that money?

One sweet S or two base cars and a roller for parts? That low of mileage and a rebuild? It had better have been some big upgrade and not a stock 2.7. Less than 10k miles in 15 years means a lot of time sitting and fuel getting old and everything else that comes with that scenario. I'm sure not every seal around the gas tank was swapped. It's still 15 years old. Is it even loaded? Seen on Miami Vice or something??
I don't think these are old enough to be "example cars" when there's tons for sale. Even if it is mint.

Agreed, plus they didn't change the motor, just maintenance stuff (IMS Bearing, water pump, clutch, flywheel, AOS, belts..etc). I bought my 03 Box S almost 2 years ago for 5 grand less. Yes my car has way more miles, but I've only had to replace the water pump in the last 2 years. When washed, waxed and the interior spruced up it looks better (to me) then that base car.

Why would you do a clutch and flywheel with only 10,000 miles? I did the IMS on mine at 26,000 miles and the clutch was like new. If it was at Jakes then it may have had issues. A lot of money for a questionable base. In 2 years this car will have 20,000 miles and be worth 12,000 maybe.

Clutch is all in driving style. City driving wears the clutch much more. At Flat6 I think they sell the whole package of Ims and clutch all together also if I'm not mistaken.

No litronics, small wheels, plain interior....I'll pass.
Yeah the IMS work is nice and the super low miles, but I would rather pick up an S for the same or a bit less and live with a couple of more miles on the clock. If you can wear out a clutch in 10k miles whether city or highway, you should not be driving a manual transmission car and I would be worried about just how hard the car had been driven then. I am sure it was just "while you are in there" stuff...but still.

This vehicle did not see my engine reconstruction services. We upgraded the IMS and etc as one of our prevention packages.
Just wanted to clarify that.

10,000 miles and 14 years old? Really? That's only around 700 miles per year?!?! To and from the corner store on Sunday only?
It's one thing to get a low mileage vehicle, but a car sitting for such prolonged periods of time would make me very hesitant. And at that price, I'd rather spend a bit less, get one with a few km's and save some cake for the inevitable repairs a 14 year old car is bound to need. Age can wreak just as much havoc as the mileage.

3 spoke wheel was a feature of the new "S" model in 2000, optional on the base Box. Standard on all 2001 & up.

Nope. Needs more miles on that car or for 3-5k to be chopped off the price. Might have low miles, but the suspension bushings may be cracked (as well as the motor's gaskets) from age and that's gonna cost.

An old unused vehicle is worse than a same age vehicle that has decent mileage that has been properly serviced. This car needs a good PPI before anyone should consider buying it and even then the price is far too high.
For this money you can get a super clean S with the IMS and other usual issues already addressed. Mine's an 02 S with just 55k on it and everything in tip top shape including having the usual issues addressed (water pump, IMS, RMS, AOS, etc.) and has a matching hardtop and I know I could never get the money being asked for on this car.

Looks like its sold. Jud has answered 4-5 calls about this one today from buyers wanting to ensure that we did the work. All they have to do is show the pic of the decal in the driver's door jamb- only one way to get that.

It isn't the perfect boxster to be driven. I would get an S for much less myself. Few of these cars have this many miles though, if someone takes good care of it and keeps the mileage really low, they're going to be sitting on a great car. It is also fairly ready to be driven as well with the large amount of maintenance out of the way if that's what you want to do. Not my style, but a cool car and someone out there likes it.

it is just a low mileage car with no options , you can do much better for that price . 03 , 04 S would be a much better purchase for that money .
