You could get the top home without the spin locks. You can lock it in at the front much like the soft top and then just drive home on surface streets keeping it below 40 and keep the window up.

I did this to get the top home and drove it this way for about 5 miles.

You are going to love the hardtop. Don't forget to treat the rubber with something like Gummipledge. I didn't and the squeeking drove me nuts.
