Mine will not take any more. Spits it out no matter how long I wait for the bubbles to go down. It didn't shut off on Friday when I filled up. Luckily I was standing there and only spilled about 1 or 2 tenths of a gallon.

Yup. Mine does the same. When that pump clicks off she is full.

Generally speaking when the pump kicks off and I click it again gas spews out into the overflow. Sometimes as I pull the nozzle out I still get some overflow.

Must be a yellow thing, my new car does the same, when it clicks, you are done. My old boxster was not like that.

No, it's definitely a silver thing. When the pump shuts off it's full!

Depends on the gas station you go to... I experience all of the above, Chevron here cuts-off early, Mobile fills all the way before turning off.

To be fair my first overfill experience was the first time I filled up anywhere but the local spinx

Everything posted here is anectdotal. It could be dependent on the station's pumps, which vary by chain vs. indie vs. type, and model year and trim. Mine is typically one extra pump.

In deference to the FXX "Every Simpsons Episode. Ever." marathon, could we have Professor Fink do a controlled study?
