The PO for my Cayman gave me his receipt for engine rebuild for about $24k.
Of course, this was partly done by LN engineering (who machined and sleeved), and was with all new forged internals, and a displacement bump to 3.6L.
For myself, I've had a lot of $2 repairs, like fixing sticky microswitches by dunking them into denatured alcohol and then a bit of electric parts lube.
