8305 should be the correct code for your radio :-)

Hey Mr Geoff;
Try 3497 1st and if that doesn't work try 3496 next.... this is another one of those
inbetween numbers, hopefully it will work.
I will be in your neck of the woods on Thursday on the way to the cottage in Sprucehead ME and then back down to Stoughton MA for a few days after that.
I'm actually doing the first part of my June Cancer ride Miles in Mass and Maine :-)
while on vacation
Cheers

It should just run after entering the 4th digit.... if it goes into wait mode you've exceeded the amount of retries with the wrong code.
More times than not I've seen the display have issues and show wrong serial numbers.... I hope the serial w5009739 is the correct serial.... in which case the codes should work....

As long as the logic board in the unit is still the original board its fine, but if that unit had a board replaced at one point the serial number will be different.

If you need the instructions again to retrieve the serial number here they are... it should work fine...

Turn off radio.
Hold down the TP button for at least 10 seconds.
Turn the radio on. "Becker 1" will be displayed.
Rotate the right knob slowly, as it will display the Becker model number.
Rotate again and radio serial number will display on radio display.

2115 is what I get on my side for a 1st option code...
2nd option is 1115 and 3rd option is 2111 which I have never had to use.

The various options are usually due to a revision change in the model # which
uses a variant of the original algorithm. This has only happened to me a few times where the code doesn't work...
You could try calling the dealer and see if they have it on file, either something
is wrong with the unit accepting the code or the variant of the code isn't supported
for that serial number :-(
