Nice 100 mile top down drive. The weather is beautiful here in Florida. It was great until I got home and realized the wind block behind my head had blown out at some point on the way. Then, when I went back out to the car and started it to go to lunch, I had smoke pouring from the exhaust. I think it's probably the AOS. I've been having some uneven idle lately that made me think I might have a vacuum issue. Maybe issues are related.

Coin wash
Was too lazy to pull out the hose for a proper wash, but couldn't stand to look at my brake dust covered wheels so I decided to go to the coin wash. Used the "Tri-color " foam ( no brush) sprayed the entire car and wheels, and was shocked how clean the car came out, especially the wheels which usually require hand washing to get the black dust off. My concern is, if this foam is this strong, what does it do to the finish on the car

Drove it like I stole it.....
Our local PCA chapter hosts a HPDE event at Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas.
TWS has been purchased by developers and is slated to shut down operations mid-next year as it
becomes transformed into a housing and business district.
Friday night I packed the Boxster and dropped the top for a great starlit 2 hr cruise to College Station. Had 8 great track sessions over the weekend. Packed the Boxster back up and drove home.
Here is one of the more busy sessions of the weekend as I had to deal with more traffic than any of the other sessions. This video catches my only miss shift of the weekend as I come up on blending traffic and loose my focus.
All and all an awesome weekend and a strong showing for a 15 year old car with a 103K miles on her.

did a back country driving tour with some Wounded Warriors. It was with the local PCA club and we had around 50 cars. 3+ hours driving some beautiful back roads in San Diego
Loads of fun!
Came home and installed the rear speaker kit in the rear shelf
Took about 2 hours, not a difficult DIY
Bought the kit on amazon

Now I have rear speakers in addition to the dash speakers

I finally finished dropping the engine from my 'Part-ster' and pulled it around behind the garage.
Now its wrapped until I need more parts. I'll probably pick up a cheap cover tomorrow.

The wife and I went for one last cruise around the lake. Had a nice lunch next to the water. When I got home I changed the oil, washed the bugs off, added Stabil, filled her up with gas and put her to bed for the winter  .

Replaced the broken spring in the Clutch Booster spring gizmo.
Much easier to push in the clutch now
