Yeah, I don't get it either. I don't daily drive mine, no matter the season, but I do keep it off of the salted main roads in the winter.

I was going to take it for a romp around the neighborhood today, but the battery was dead...oops! Not sure what happened, but it's been on the charger all day and we are getting freezing rain tomorrow. That won't stop me. I've got the itch.

I replaced one of the micro switches in my spare key fob. Now it works flawlessly!

Last 3 days installing secondary cat delete pipes. Used Circuit Werks and they fit perfectly. What a royal PIA getting the flange bolts off after 13 years. There was so much weld on the top bolt. It is not a couple hour job when you have lay on your back.

Went to where I store the boxster car this morning (wow). I've actually removed the car cover and wanted to start it up. 3.5 months without turning. Noticed that the battery is nearly toasted by looking at the half dead dome light. Didn't even bother to put the key in the ignition I know it'll just click-click on me :/

Front tire flat as usual (slow leak). Bird crap all over the car cover, ruined. Nice start of the day.

Think I'll need to grab a pair of new tires on my next Car-Mall visit

and that's what I did for my Boxster today. Nothing lollll

There is a guy on Rennlist that sells them, he has a (not very active) page on Facebook and also sells them on eBay. He put one up with no reserve and I got it for really low

interestedparty | eBay

HOLIDAY SPECIAL - Reduced Pricing on Custom Refinished Hood Crests! - Rennlist Discussion Forums

I got mine for $41.01 It did not come with a gasket or nuts but I got them for very cheap with my next parts order. And I think for $5 or so he will add them, I didn't know that at the time though.

My hood doesn't look quite as nice as the one above

Got half my heated seat working - so I went for a drive up the mountains to make sure it was working! A lovely SoCal winters day!

Looks like fun Jay. I was at Laguna Seca Saturday, it was a tad damper up the coast. Hoping to have some video up by the end of the week. I had a brake wear indicator come on as I was entering the paddock after session 3, put an early end to my day. I did look at them last week and thought I had plenty of pad left, 1 st time ever to change them out though, I'll know better next time.

Oh, what did I do to my boxster today? I ordered brake parts.

It was a bunch of fun we had perfect weather, sunny, light breeze and high 60's to low 70's and I found out today I set a club record for my class running CCW at Chuckwalla. Woohoo!!!

I would love to run Laguna Seca one of these days. We do have some great tracks down here, Buttonwillow, Willow, Spring Mountain and of course Chuckie

That's exactly why I keep a set of pads I removed that still have around 40-50% left in my track box.

What pads are you running on the track?

I just bought my Boxster last April, Saturday was my 2nd track day (1st was on December 4th, also at Laguna). It still had (has) the brakes that were on it when I bought it. What I ordered, after a search and a lot of reading here, is EBC yellowstuff pads. I also have a set of the Meyle rotors that someone (maybe you) mentioned on Tom Stone's build thread last month on the way.

Back when I started reading the racing section on this forum I read to run stock brake pads starting out until they were done. That is what I did. Like you, I plan on putting the take-offs away to have a "yardstick" for the future.

Car sounds good and appears to be going a bit fast is 2 or 3 of the corners there. Wah

My colleagues and I just watched your vid and literally blasted by this track. Some of its apex' cambers and elevations looks totally insane. Can only imagine... jealous man :/

(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiKl1uH0aBY. FW at 10:00 when his tires are hot. I'm so going there one day, really hope)
