After having had the stock double-unit in my car, I can't believe people actually want these pieces of ********************. I tore them out, moved my A/C controls to the top where it belongs, and sold the cupholders to someone who clearly wasn't aware of how useless they are. Get an Ultimate Cupholder and put it on the passenger side. Whoever sits there gets to look after their own drink; the one in the Ultimate is the driver's!

Yeah, what he said, except I got two ultimate cupholders and put them both on the passenger side.

Don't bother with the one that fits in the center console compartment either, unless you're going to remove the lid. The thing is a real pita, plus you lose valuable storage space.

I like the one for the center console, as far as cup holder options go. Not perfect,
but the best option I've seen.

Hmm, I'm going to have to check that out. I had assumed only one would fit. Do you have to have the seat all the way back to make it work?

The later model cup holders are much better, but they sit at high center of gravity it always, ALWAYS spills my coffee with the lid closed regardless of what speed I'm driving at.

Not all the way back, but not all the way forward either.

I told my wife the Boxster is for driving and hence, no cupholders needed.

Went further and told her that if she wanted nice cupholders with a decent car attached then it would be better if she drove one of our BMW's (the ultimate latte cruising machine).

Since I was on roll, then I said that what she should really do is hold the cup in her crotch like a guy.

That's when she got mad!
