I just put on new rotors and pads. I went with the Pagid 'Sport' (RS 4-2-1) and like them so far. Amazing grip and no noise.

Now for rotors I went with Raybestos.... we'll see how those hold...

Check to make sure the front crank bolt is at 150ft. lbs. The oil pump is a friction drive. Oil pickup tube could also be cracked or not sealed correctly.

Ouch, at least it wasn't so bad. My truck rolled out of my driveway and parked itself in front of the neighbors garage by about 3". A 2 ton truck could have done a lot of damage.

If I lived somewhere with snow (more than here) I would consider a 996 Carrera 4. It would be a great and fast daily driver. Better in foul weather than the box. And cheap enough (here anyways)...
