That's the way it should work. The short "toot" is to tell you "hey, something is not closed properly". Usually for me it's the center console armrest lid.

Sorry, forgot to highlight that it's a Canadian car..The way Porsche implemented daytime running lights, they have all lights on all the time. Maybe it's something with ignition and or headlight...

Almost all Boxsters will have some minor oil loss...

Almost all Boxsters will have some minor oil loss ie. enough to lightly moisten some area of undercarriage. Check electronic and manually check dipstick weekly until you know what if any loss you are...

Do the front engine mount and see if it helps. It's a cheap part (it's a 987 part for all Boxsters now) and procedure should only be 2 hours labour. It will fix your 3100 vibration, give more...
