How to tell if you have litronics?

Is there a visual different within Litronic and non-Litronic headlights on the 986?

litronics are xenon projectors. regular headlights are reflectors.

I was looking for a little more detail (I don't know the difference between those two things...)

Litronics have clear turn signal lenses, and halogen has amber lenses. Litronics also have ride height sensors on the lower control arms.

Not sure these answers have helped the original poster, as 2003+ halogens also have same reduced amber for turn signals as litronics.

Litronics have a approx 2.5 inch round circle from which the main beam projects a very focused light. You can see this clearly when looking at the headlight, even if it is not on. Non-litronics look like regular headlights.

litronics looks like this:

see the round projector in the middle that carguy mentioned?

regular (halogen bulb) headlights look like this:

Now if you're asking if there's a difference in the light they produce, basically you'd be looking at that normal, slightly yellowish light coming from regular halogen lights, and a whiter, more focused beam coming out of litronics.

Hope we've been able to help, if not please be more specific in what you're looking for.

IIRC, litronics also have headlamp washer jets and the Halogens don't as seen in the above photos.

Ok, that has helped a lot.

I think I have the litronics then, as I have the washers. Where is the washer switch located?

I'll take a closer look latest and see if mine has the projectors.

Thank you very much!

I believe you press forward on the windshield wiper stalk, versus pulling back. I may be wrong though.
