Hello,

your car has to stand on leveled ground. Else the display results will be wrong. And if you take a look in your user manual, Porsche also recommends to use the dip stick. But also the dip stick will only give am exact result if the car is on leveled ground. So only check oil level on leveled ground.

Here's the deal...

...park it on level ground and let it sit for three days before checking with the dip stick.

And what do you do with the cars that no longer have dipsticks?

There is nothing really wrong with the electronic display; these cars carry over eight quarts of oil, and each line is only a fraction of a quart.
