If you don't mind me asking, what does Jake charge to purchase and install the UDP? I'm bringing my Boxster in to have the IMS solution installed the week after you (8/25) and was thinking about having the UDP installed.

Definitely interested in what your dyno results show as I have very similar mods done to my 2004 Boxster.

I mount data temp sensors within a few inches of the factory temp sensor.. so I have other info coming in. I regular see 205-215 in 2.5 race cars with 3rd radiator. The BoxsterS cars with the 3.2 will go 220 all day (but read a nice steady 195 on the gauge)

The 987's are even worse
Interesting. Do you have experience with UDPs in terms of impact on coolant temps? Guessing a lot of the 2.5 race cars have UDPs and if coolant temps was a problem would the stock pulley be better or does it even matter? Thanks.

I honestly just talked " rough " numbers with Jake so I don't feel comfortable giving out the price. And I'm a repeat customer so don't know if I'm getting any kind of a break. I'm using Jake mainly because of his and his teams expertise. There are plenty of shops in the Atlanta area that could install the UDP but I trust Jake and his team to do it right the first time, if that costs a little more so be it. He's never done me wrong why shop elsewhere ? Good luck with yours.

It works great for cooling the race cars!!

View it this way: Race car = high RPM all the time. Stock pulley? moves the water too fast through the radiators. UDP slows the water down and gives it more time to cool.

Now? How do you think that would work for you on the street? Too slow at idle

I use 2 different pulley sizes. One for street and one for race. 4inch and 5 inch.
