Retired Military and 10 years into a "new career". I'm never going to feel comfortable spending $30K+ on a car when there are so many out there for under $10K that I still need to try.

I feel better spending under $15K for a true sports car that I can race and perhaps even abuse a little now and then rather than worry excessively about scratches and where I can and cannot park the car.

Its no fun if you can't take it anywhere and I'm not rich enough that I can drive a 60K + car and not care about dings and abuse.

So I suppose any under $20K Porsche is probably a poor mans car relative to a brand new one, but like the saying goes, some people know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Its value over dollars all the way baby!!!...ask anyone that has driven a Boxster S

I guess 911's ( at least one of the 996's I am looking at) are now poor man cars

Why do you people care about what others think? Cars arent status symbols for me, theyre exciting transporation/toys.

Wealth is nice house in a wealthy area. Having a 90k car just means you have good credit and a decent job.

I bought the boxster because I believe in the mid engines superiority. In my eyes, all it needed was a proper engine. So I installed one from a 911 and did some suspension work. I didnt add any extra badges. I just thoroughly enjoy raising eye brows at the local autoX and DE events
