FWIW..... I have a hard time to justify a "performance intake". I looked a long time at the stock setup an I just can't see a significant advantage. The diameter of the intake from the airbox to the throttle body is the same, the airbox is insulated against engine heat. Maybe another filter? Maybe?

There are other cars with excellent air intakes, e.g. A4 1.8T, even tuned and boosted to like 400 hp the stock airbox is so good that people don't change same...
