I'd have a problem with that. You want your car tuned on a Dyno. i'm am currently looking at http://www.evomsit.com/Porsche_MAIN.htm they should have dyno and Vid for your 3.4. I havn't called them, so I have no idea about pricing. probably High.

The 99 (and older) ECU can not simply reflashed via thru the OBCII socket. That is why you have to send in your ECU. They have to open it up to reprogram the eprom...or they may just replace it since I am not sure if it is re-writeable.

I am guessing that's the reason for the higher cost, they actually have to do a little manual labor instead of simply sending you a file to upload to your ECU.

Even with the bit of labor involved...$500 more for a pre-2000 flash is simply nuts imo but then I really don't know what is entirely involved either.

More or less what I was getting at was that if you are going to be paying a large amount of money for an ECU eprom, re-flash, etc.... It Should come with a before and after Dyno. So you don't end up paying for no or worse performance results.

I am going to get the car tuned up in CT. I still have to go back to the dyno and get the car dynoed one more time for the techno torque numbers after the learning curve. If they have time today I may go and get it done.

I'm interested to see the results. If there is anything there worthwhile I am thinking about working off the same idea and having the entire T split custom made to split the air flow all the way back to the TB.
