Manual Crank Shaft Turning

My 1998 Boxster is burning coolant and in the process of removing the sparkplugs, coolant drained from the number 6 cylinder. I would like to take a endoscope video of the cylinder fully open to determine if the block or cylinder head is cracked. I need to rotate the crankshaft to the fully open position on this cylinder, but the crankshaft is not turning when a socket wrench is applied to the crankshaft pulley. How can the crankshaft pulley be freed up? Please advise. Thanks.
