Wanted: Manual 986 with IMS done

Hi all, this is my first post here, so I'll get right to it:
I have a nice '87 944na (black on black) that I have spent 3 years getting into sweet shape. I really love the car and am keeping it as a winter car. Now looking for a manual 986 with the IMS already done. Would do the IMS myself but am currently living in DC (originally from Canada) without access to a garage or a driveway BTW it's been tricky doing 944 timing belts and the such on the street beside my house...
If anyone in the capital region or anywhere from the Carolina's to the Canadian border has a decent 986 with the IMS done, please let me know! My budget is around 7k$. Looking forward to becoming a real contributor to this forum!
Thanks to you all!
//Mark

Just to clarify my first post, I'm not expecting a 2008 with 35k miles for that price, more like a 1998-2003 with 80k+ miles. I'm ok with a car that needs some TLC...

Get a 1997-2000 and forget about the IMSB. The odds of failure on the earlier cars with dual row bearings are so low that you are much more likely to destroy the car in some other way.

Consider a trip to Florida for Ben's car?

Currently have 01 base 5 speed. 105K miles and counting as it is my daily driver. IMS has not been done to my knowledge but I have done many of the recommended upgrades from this forum. Top speed cat back exhaust, Benn006 Short shifter, Sky breaker etc. Car was maintained regularly at RPM in Springfield for the first few years I owned it and then at Porsche of Tysons while I worked there as a salesman. Recently did spark plugs coil packs and manual transmission service. Have records for everything and many spare parts. Oil changes done every 3-5K miles. Found out I was expecting my first, quit Porsche of Tysons and need a baby mover by March.

Also coincidentally Canadian (see avatar)

Feel free to PM me if you are interested have questions or want pics.

Thank you

Thanks, and a parallel question

Thanks for the feedback!
What are your recommendations about the 2.7 vs. the 3.2? I think it would be nice to have the 3.2, but is it worth the extra costs?

Lots of opinions so I'll start....
First off, drive both and decide whats best for you. As for the money, there isn't nearly the price difference between the two cars like there use to be. I'd say that for the difference of ~$1.5-$2.5K, The S is more than worth it. Don't forget that its more than just a bigger motor.

I'm not 'dissin' the 2.5 or 2.7. I've owned both base and S models at the same time. I truly enjoyed the base and would be quite happy with it but when I'd get back in the S, well, I just enjoyed it more.
