What is this cable in the door?

I have been trouble shooting my boxsters passenger side door not dropping when the handle is pulled. I already replaced the regulator because it was going bad (screeching noise), and the microswitch in the doorhandle. And then today I was fiddling in the door and touched this wire and movement... The window moved! Pushing up and down on this wire seems to fix a connection and let the door assembly know the door is open, and the window drops.

Above is the indicated wire I have been fiddling with.
Does anyone know what the part number is? I've been going through part catalogs and diagrams and can't seem to find it. Might need to replace this, or what it's connected to.

I had a more or less similar problem caused by broken solder connections on the PCB inside the latch. It could be that moving the wire moves the connector pin on the latch causing the broken solder connection to make contact. If that is your problem the fix is indicated in post #13 in this thread:

Good luck.

Good luck.
This worked! I resoldered the solder joints and the window now actuates when it's supposed to. Unfortunately some of my other issues of the passenger door not unlocking seems to be unrelated haha. Great suggestion, thank you
