Let's not forget that Porsche is working with a fuel manufacturer to design a sustainable clean burning bio fuel . If that is a success AND can be produced in large qty's and be reasonably priced that may be a way for the ICE to survive .
There is a segment of society that an electric vehicle is a good fit . Likewise there is a segment where a hybrid is a good fit. But I would argue that a larger segment of society an ICE is the only way to go .
All the technologies can coexist and as each gets better the buying public will determine which works best for them . As it should be .
