Up here on the bald frozen tundra in the middle of Canada we are just coming out of a winter with some of the coldest temperatures and snow volume on record. All electric will never work up here for a year round vehicle. Just running the heater or defroster will cut your expected mileage by 3/4. Even as a commuter you will barely last a short trip before needing a charge. And forget about any highway use. You would need a charging station every 25 km.
