Before I ordered a tank I went over this whole scenario again and determined those small drops of coolant found after the last drive were oil dripped when checking the oil before the test drive.
Today I topped off coolant bottle, made absolutley sure there were no drops anywhere and went for a drive. At 7 miles.no over heating no steam, no smell nothing. Heading home I turned on the A/C for the last mile and a half. Had the engine cover off so I was getting hot. Almost immediately the low coolant light starts flashing. Drove the rest of the way home.
Coolant tank 1/4 of a gallon low. No drops or any sign of any leaks inside or outside. No smoking exhaust, no anti freeze smell. Oil cap clean, no signs of intermix, oil level perfect just like when I left.
I'm not that experienced in this so any ideas now. Total amount of distilled water used since this all started 2 gallons.
