After driving my sisters 98 Boxster around LA all last weekend I can happily say I now have every intention of buying an 00-04 S after I complete probation at my new job . I'm very excited about this kit because in my city theres maybe 20 turbo imports within 4 square miles of my house several of which are my friends ranging from junkyard turbo kits to 400hp SC300s. And anything to help my car stay in the mix is welcome. I've set put off installing my complete turbo kit I had put together for an 88 325iC just to save money for my boxster and if this boxster turbo kit shows the gains I'm hoping it will I'll be scrapping project Dirty E30 and selling it to buy this one.


PS. Suck is defined: Watching an Integra, a SC300, and an Impreza fly past you knowing that if they didn't have turbos you'd be making fun of them.

Vapor Ware......It's been almost a year since I originally contacted this company and enquired. First it was next month, next month, next month. The last time I heard from them they were in final testing. I think this kit will not appear anytime soon. I wonder if enough people were interested maybe we could get TPC to do a run of thier 2.7 kits.

The turbo kit concept has been put on hold for a few reasons:

The manufacturer we were going to use to help with production of the kits has become less attentive to details and our goals. Our goal of reliable and emission friendly in 49 states quickly turned to: "kinda reliable and no cats at all". This is when we decided to work with them on a Rotrex supercharger kit utilizing the same water-to-air intercooler. Last time we talked they were waiting for Rotrex to get back to them on compressor maps, three months ago or so...

My business partners and I have been reluctant to put R&D costs into something without a responsive partner. However, once things get underway with RbD we will actively seek out a partner with more experience and a credible reputation.

For example: Oscar Jackson and Oscar Jackson Jr. of Jackson Racing have recently developed a mix of Rotrex powered supercharger kits for the Miata and Honda Fit. With their reputation for excellance and OEM quality/reliability we will likely seek them out.

Thank you for your patience. Our own mouths are watering as well and we really do want to see some boosted Boxster's. It will happen but it will be done correctly first and foremost!
